Melissa Mao – VP of Marketing & Business Development

As Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for Inspired Sciences, Melissa Mao leverages her 13 years of experience in sales, trade shows and marketing to drive the company forward while at the same time strengthening its market recognition. Melissa is currently responsible for all corporate and product branding, tradeshows and promotional events. She also works with key strategic segments to develop new products and programs, ensuring that the company stays on the cutting edge.

Melissa joined Inspired Sciences, LLC in February 2005 as the first employee, seeing the opportunity to help build a revolutionary company. Her strong work ethic, tireless ambition, and balance of creativity and analysis were immediately apparent, and Melissa advanced to the position of Sales & Marketing Director. In January 2007, she was promoted to her current position as Vice President of Marketing & Development where she is actively involved in all aspects of Spa Revolution’s product development, branding, promotion and image.
 
Prior to joining Spa Revolutions in April 2005, Melissa served as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at a Your Needs, a wholesale distributor in Ventura, California. Under her guidance and expertise during her three year tenure, the company’s revenues increased 300%, and she was responsible for cultivating several large corporate and government clients, a first for the company.

Melissa graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in both Communications and Fine Arts from the University of California, San Diego. She is an avid enthusiast of travel, beaches, running, golf and art. Melissa is tri-lingual (English, Mandarin, Cantonese) and she currently resides in South Escondido, California with her Rhodesian Ridgeback.
