Dan Young – Inventor & COO

~ "If we did the things we are capable of, we would astound ourselves." ~

When Thomas Edison spoke the above, he might as well have had Dan Young in mind, because Dan has been astounding himself – and others – for years. In fact, Dan's penchant for creative invention began while just a teenager in his family's company.

Dan quickly learned to back up his creativity with expert management skills and in high school created and then patented a telecommunications device that is still in wide use today. In college, Dan perceived the need for and then invented the Brief Relief portable sanitation device, among other products, which have to date generated sales of $75 million.

Not content to see the world stand still, Dan has been responsible for many other significant inventions and patents, including home organization products, medical devices and, even, a patented adjustable golf tee.

"Opportunity is missed by many people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work," explains Dan, echoing another saying of Mr. Edison's. As an entrepreneur and businessperson, Dan hasn't missed many opportunities.

Early on, Dan oversaw the expansion of his family business and then co-founded a spin-off company to manufacture and market his portable sanitation line of products. He later formed FYI Enterprises as a vehicle to carry his extensive research and development activities into new markets. More recently, Dan co-founded Inspired Sciences, LLC for the marketing and distribution of these developed products. The flagship line of the company is its Spa Revolutions brand Perfectsense Paraffin & Aromatherapy, the only safe and sanitary single-use paraffin treatment found in spas, salons and the consumer market.

As chief operations officer, Dan brings 25 years of hands-on experience to assist in the challenge of marketing a unique product in a vast industry. With his Inspired Sciences partners, Dan has quickly reacted to a changing market, refining the process for sanitary paraffin treatments and expanding the product line to include the European market. He is also the driving force in the development of a continuous stream of innovative new products, including medical devices, advanced pool filtrations systems, medical-ergonomic devices, wound care and emergency lighting applications.

Dan Young resides in Escondido, California with his wife three daughters. He is an avid racquetball player and actively contributes his leadership as a founder of the youth ministry in his church.
